Project Description
A combination of Rust Grip® and Enamo Grip® was used in contract work completed by Dubai Dry Docks on a sea-going vessel operating in the UAE.
Coating Solution
After testing Rust Grip® on deck, the customer was impressed with the results and the ease of application — including no need to sandblast. The only preparation required was a surface scrub to remove any loose old paint, followed by a high-pressure wash. The system applied was:
- Surface preparation: scrub + high-pressure wash (no sandblasting)
- 200 micron Rust Grip® — corrosion encapsulation coat
- Enamo Grip® Green — protective topcoat
Dubai Dry Docks were very pleased with the outcome and scheduled 5 additional ships to be coated.
