Project Description
There was a need to conserve energy and prevent corrosion under insulation on an Ingersoll Rand gas compressor on one of Pemex's offshore platforms in the Gulf of Mexico. A critical requirement was reducing operating temperatures to protect staff from unacceptable exposure — from 170°C to 60°C and 220°C to 60°C — while the equipment remained fully in operation throughout the application.
Coating Solution
- HPC® Coating applied by spray using Graco equipment — 24mm–20mm wet / 18mm–15mm dry
- Rust Grip® — 8 mils wet / 4 mils dry
- Enamo Grip® — 10 mils wet / 5 mils dry
