Project Description
The customer required a product to provide fire protection to 200 composite reinforcing beams — 3m long, 200mm × 200mm Glass Reinforced Fiber Polymer (GRFP) beams used to reinforce a walkway at a marina in Gibraltar. The solution needed to be applied on-site without specialist equipment.
Coating Solution
After diligently cleaning and preparing the surface, Super Therm® was applied at 400 micron WFT, achieving 250 micron DFT, providing thermal and fire protection to the GRFP composite beams in a demanding coastal marine environment.
