Project Description
The purpose of the project was to reduce the temperature inside the chicken farm and eliminate the heat stress caused by solar radiation through the slate roof. High internal temperatures directly cause mass livestock mortality and stagnate egg production.
Coating Solution
Preparation consisted of a power wash. When dry, 2 coats of Super Therm® were applied for a total of 250 micron DFT.
Results
The significant drop in internal temperature directly prevented mass chicken mortality and increased egg production, which typically stagnates due to heat stress. Heat-stressed birds were no longer binge-eating at night and weight consistency improved significantly across the flock.
