Project Description
A Measurement and Verification Analysis was conducted at an intermodal facility in accordance with Florida's ENERGY CONSERVATION ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS (Designation: ECAP-CUL-1-03). Two standard 40ft containers were used, each fitted with 4,320 data points simultaneously recording data over a 24-hour test period. One container was treated with Super Therm® and one was left untreated.
Coating Solution
Super Therm® was applied at standard 400µ WFT / 250µ DFT. Unlike traditional insulation which slows conductive heat transfer, Super Therm® blocks the initial solar heat load by reflecting 95% of the sun's energy (Visible, IR and UV) before it can be physically absorbed.
Results
Test conditions: High 97°F / 36.2°C — Low 74°F / 23.3°C — Wind 3–5.5 mph — UV 99 A+B
